***I will have more cane in the fall. It's much too hot here to pull them.***
Vitrigraph twists are quite unlike twisties/latticino made in a torch. They are more blended together and have a much different effect. I make the vitrigraph twists one by one and inch by inch to achieve this look. I use Bullseye Compatible glass. These vitrigraph twists are made to be used only with other Bullseye Compatible glass. For more information on a vitrigraph, please see the Bullseye Glass website.
These twists are NOT compatible with Morreti/Effetre, Lauscha and other 104coe glass!!!
These canes can range in size from between 5mm and 3mm.
A quick word about fusing with these canes....I strongly suggest testing any canes to be used for fusing and MOST strongly suggest hot colors like red, yellow, orange and purple NOT be used for fusing in high-fire work and work that will be fired multiple times without thorough testing.
*** I wrote a tutorial for Vitrigraph twists if you choose to make them yourself. It is currently available in the Feb/Mar 2009 issue of Glass Craftsman magazine. ***
